A Nice Break
I've been suffering from a cold/flu since last Friday. Sneezing and coughing is no way to go through life. At least this weekend I've managed to do more than just sleep all day. Last night, I even had a nice break. I was able to go see the Robin Helzner Trio. This sample doesn't really capture the vibrancy of the trio. It was a fun show with a lot of joking. During the show, we clapped along, hummed the nigguns, and sang the choruses. We sang in English, Hebrew, Yiddish, Ladino, and even Ugandan. At the end, there was dancing in the aisles. If they come to your area, go see them.
The concert was a celebration of the recovery from Hurricane Katrina on going along the Mississippi Gulf Coast and in Louisiana. It was sponsored by the Goldring/Woldenberg Institute for Southern Jewish Living and the Covenant Foundation. Thank you!!
Y'all need to go see them if you get a chance.

Ninjas: Good on Rollerblades
But they can't compare to pirates. This band of pirates has captured the city of Fort Walton Beach 53 times!
Booty rained down, shots rang out and airplanes roared overhead as hundreds cheered and chugged.
Once again, in the end, Billy Bowlegs took over Fort Walton Beach.
"As consolation, I'm going to let the mayor touch my sword," the decorated pirate captain (a costumed Brock Fisher) said Saturday after storming Fort Walton Landing and overtaking the city's militias.
Ninjas may have great skills as warriors but pirates have more fun.

Sharing Joy
Where's Matt? A lovable goofball goes around the world dancing a goofy jig and sharing joy. The New York Times compares Matt harding to US Foreign Policy:
I think the appeal these videos have is that Matt might be dancing to his own inner music but it is an inner music will all can relate too.
Enjoy!
It could be a little commercial for one-world feel-goodism. It could be an allegory of American foreign policy: a bumptious foreigner turning up all over the world and answering just to his own inner music. Or it could be about nothing at all — just a guy dancing.

Turning Point
It is done! I had taken today off to finish the kitchen for Pesach. But circumstances have me traveling to Metarie to pick up the last of my Pesach items. Metarie is a suburb of New Orleans and has Kosher Cajun. They were going to deliver but I wanted to pick up a few more items I hadn't ordered.
Cleaning the stove and oven is always a major task. I had finished the cabinets, the refrigerator, etc on previous days, but I always wait until the last possible moment to do the stove and oven. It is done! I have one final check to do before I leave this morning. Everything is ready!!
To celebrate, I want to share this video I saw over at Seraphic Secret. Joy, joy, joy:

Aspect Ratios!
I'm going to have to try to use the formula these engineers used to find the aspect ratio of my kitties.
Also, the corporal cuddling works! Thank goodness for engineers who take the effort to explain cats. It's about time someone did.

Daddy Daycare!
As usual Israelis have come up with another innovative solution: What to do with a husband who is underfoot? The husbands in the video commute from Israel to places around the world. But wives all over can appreciate the solution: Daddy Daycare!

A note to My Newest Neighbors
Hello guys!!! Waving at ya!!! Y'all seem really nice. However, do you really have to argue about your problems outside? I mean, I don't want to know that you are having marital problems that are analogous to a recent governor of New York!

A Cat, a Dog, a Tree, and a Car
One pit bull(with two puppies tagging along) who targets cats: Check
One highly aggrevated cat that dislikes dogs: Check
One oak tree that shelters all sorts of animals within it's limbs and branches: Check
One car: Check
Write your idea of the sequence of events that transpired. I'm going to go and finish preparations for Shabbat.
Shabbat Shalom Y'all!
