About Me

Gulfport, Mississippi, United States
I've been blogging for two years. During that time many changes have occured. The biggest was listening to my neshama and embracing my Jewish heritage. The second most life-changing event was surviving Hurricane Katrina. New Orleans recieves most of the coverage. A lot of my blog posts since Katrina have been about the rebuilding of my hometown of Gulfport and the rest of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. 65,000 homes, 16% percent, of the homes along the Mississippi Coast were destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. A further 35,000 homes, 8%, had to be demolished becuase the damage from storm surge and/or wind was so severe. We are still rebuilding and will be for the next 8-10 years.
